Colchester-East Hants Public Library - Is it Haunted?
What is now Truro’s new Library, was once the Old Provincial Normal College.
History
Built in 1877, the Old Provincial Normal College was constructed to replace the Normal School that was established in Truro in 1855 for the training of teachers. During its eighty-three years as the Normal College, the school educated many students who became teachers all over Nova Scotia.
Initially, the Normal School, as it was originally known, trained teachers until the Nova Scotia Teachers College opened in 1961. For a number of years in the late 20th century, the building was used as the Truro Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) clubhouse.

Paranormal Activity
Over the years many people have reported experiencing paranormal activity at this location, from seeing apparitions, to hearing phantom footsteps and whispers as they worked.
Pre Investigation
When we were contacted by the Library to conduct an investigation there, we were thrilled to be given that chance to investigate such a prominent historic location in Truro, and we were also invited back to reveal our findings, at a public event on Oct 24th.
Investigation 2017
With so much history, and reports of paranormal activity here, we invited two psychic mediums to join us on our investigation, Judy Logan, and Jenn Collins. Even before the investigation began, both Jenn and Judy we picking up on spirit activity at the Library, so we knew it was going to be an interesting night! For the investigation, we divided up into two teams, and would investigate each floor before meeting up to discuss our findings at the end of the investigation.

Investigation 2018

On our latest investigation at the Library, we were really looking forward to learning more about the spirits we encountered previously.
This year we were joined by Elaine Hale, the newest member of our team, and another lady by the name of Brenda Lumsden. Each of these ladies are very gifted in their own right, and neither lady knew of our results from our 2017 investigation.
